Fox News: James Carville Tells Laura Ingraham When Trump Will Leave Office

Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham put Democratic strategist James Carville on the spot on Wednesday (October 21), asking whether he still stands by his prediction that Donald Trump will be out of office by Easter.

“All right, James, you predicted, I believe, over the summer that Trump was gonna leave office by Easter. Do you still believe that?” Ingraham asked on Wednesday’s edition of The Ingraham Angle.

“I do,” the 81-year-old political pundit replied. “Because he’s an old man, and he’s not particularly a hard man. And when he sees what’s going to happen in this election, and I had this hit me in 1994. I know what this is. Most people don’t… Of course, [Bill] Clinton was able to survive because he was young, he was brilliant, and he had Newt Gingrich as his foil.”

Carville, nicknamed the “Ragin’ Cajun,” served as the lead strategist in Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign. He’s also advised several other Democratic presidential campaigns, including Massachusetts Senator John Kerry in 2004, New York Senator Hillary Clinton in 2008, and Colorado Senator Michael Bennet in 2020.

After Carville reiterated his prediction that Trump will be out of the White House by Easter, Ingraham asked, “Do you want to put some money on this, Carville? I will put a huge amount of money on this: that Trump will be out by Easter. How much do you want to bet? For charity?”

“You know what, I do?” Carville responded. “I don’t do the predictable thing. I like to think to the future. Okay? I think he’s going to get really bored, and when you lose one this big, people really don’t pay attention to you.”

Carville first made his prediction in June during an appearance on the Politics War Room podcast. “He can’t stay awake,” he said, referring to videos of the president seemingly falling asleep during cabinet meetings. “He says he’s ‘bored’ with the Iran war. He’s gonna, and I’m telling you, this guy, by Easter of 2027, is just gonna walk away from this job.”

He continued, “He’s just gonna f***ing walk away because he doesn’t have any idea of what it’s gonna be like when he comes to grips with the massive, I mean, it’s gonna be a massive rejection of him.”

Carville predicted a blue wave in the upcoming midterms, saying, “Trump has no earthly idea of what’s coming for him. They’re not telling him. The vote against him in November is gonna be like, breathtaking.”
