The reunions continue for Mark Harmon‘s Gibbs on NCIS: Origins!
Emily Wickersham will be appearing in multiple episodes of the prequel beginning on Tuesday, October 27. Bishop is going to be the next one to help out Gibbs after his reunion in the October 20 episode with DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly). He goes to the director for help IDing those who came after him (and think they left him for dead in Alaska in the Season 3 premiere).
But, as the sneak peek that CBS released on Instagram (watch it below) shows, she’s the one going to him — against his request, since he’s supposed to be off the books. That’s why Tony called her, she explains: “My whole life is off the books.” Watch to the end for her sweet reaction to Gibbs saying to gear up.

Wickersham starred on NCIS for eight seasons, then left in 2021. She reprised her role as Bishop last season in two episodes.
When TV Insider recently spoke with showrunner David J. North, he wouldn’t say who else will be returning to the franchise to reunite with Harmon’s Gibbs, but he shared, “We have some reunions in store, and I’ve said this before, but I definitely won’t be eating my words when I say that no NCIS fan — Origins fans are going to be so excited, but NCIS fans from the past, none of them are going to want to miss what we’re doing this year on Origins. None.”
When it comes to these reunions, “it was mainly driven by the story,” he explained. “I mean, Mark did this because I pitched him a story that he liked, and obviously he can’t be every week with our folks from Origins, and the people that we saw him with on the mothership are really important to him. So really, I just sat down as we as writers were working on the story and figuring out who creatively would he call, would he need? And of course, the first one was DiNozzo, and we’ll see what happens from there.”
In the October 27 episode, titled “Shimmy Shimmy Ya,” CBS teases, “In 1993, the team intervenes when a general’s rebellious teen son is targeted by a dangerous former gang member. In the present, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) returns to a place full of memories and discovers he’s not alone.”
