‘Celebrity Weakest Link’: Jane Lynch Jokes She ‘Can’t Stand’ the Love Between Power Couples

Love will be the strongest link this week on Celebrity Weakest Link. Four Hollywood power couples will face off for money for their charities, and host Jane Lynch expressed her disgust with their love.

RGIII (Robert Griffin III) and Grete Griffin, Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon, Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker, and Alexa PenaVega and Carlos PenaVega are playing on the game show on October 19. However, the eight of them are competing as individuals to try to win up to $1 million. 

In this exclusive clip, Austrian-German actor and former model Kodjoe shared how he and Parker, an American actress and model, share how they first met. The couple has been married since 2005.

Lynch asked Kodjoe how old he was when he came to America, to which he replied that he was 19. Then, she asked him how he and Parker met.

“I met Nicole on the set of Soul Food, my first-ever job on TV,” he shared. “We were shooting a love scene in the first episode.”

“Oh my gosh,” Lynch said.

“I was tremendously nervous. I was shaking,” Kodjoe said. “I was holding up production, basically.” Kodjoe shared that Parker took his hand and took him behind the set and kissed him.

“And she said, ‘This is how you do it. Let’s go,'” he said. “Three or four months later, I went to her trailer and said, ‘One day we’re going to be married with two kids.”

“I can’t stand it,” Lynch said, which made the others laugh. Their pair does have two children — Nicolas and Sophie.

The PenaVegas have been married since 2014 and have three children together. He is a member of the band Big Time Rush, and she is a former child actress. The Griffins got married in 2018. They have two children together. RG is a basketball player, while Grete is a heptathlete.

The Bachelor‘s Iaconetti and Haibon finally got married in 2019 after three years of having an on-again, off-again relationship. They have two sons together.
