‘Jeopardy! YouTube’ Returning With Three New Contestants — Everything We Know

Get ready to stream a new episode of Jeopardy!, but this time on YouTube, once again. Jeopardy! YouTube first premiered in March with only one episode, and its fate was left in the balance. Now, the show is returning with three different YouTubers.

“The success of our first edition of Jeopardy! YouTube Edition demonstrated the value of meeting audiences where they are while staying true to what makes Jeopardy! special,” Suzanne Prete, President of Game Shows at Sony Pictures Television, said in a press release on October 15.

“By creating a version designed specifically for YouTube, we were able to connect with an entirely new audience while preserving the knowledge and competition that have defined the franchise for generations. With Volume 2, we’re building on that momentum by partnering with an exciting group of creators who will bring fresh energy and perspectives to the Jeopardy! experience.”

Who is competing in Volume 2 of Jeopardy! YouTube?

The players from last time will not be returning. Instead, it will be three new content creators competing for charity — Angela Giarratana, Michelle Khare, and Mythical Chef Josh Scherer.

• Angela Giarratana – comedian, actress, and fan-favorite cast member of SMOSH, competing for The Trevor Project.
• Michelle Khare – creator and host of the award-winning docuseries Challenge Accepted, competing for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
• Mythical Chef Josh Scherer – culinary creator, New York Times bestselling author, and host of Last Meals, competing for Project Angel Food.

When will Volume 2 premiere?

The exclusive special will air on Thursday, October 22, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on the Jeopardy!  YouTube channel. It will be available to watch afterward as well, in case fans miss the premiere, but it will not air on streaming platforms like regular Jeopardy!.

Fans can also watch the first episode of Jeopardy! YouTube on the page in case they missed it. That episode featured singer Rebecca Black, drag queen and reality TV star Monet X Change, and comedian Brennan Lee Mulligan. Mulligan was victorious.

Who will host Jeopardy! YouTube Volume 2?

Ken Jennings will once again host Jeopardy! YouTube.

What do the players win?

Aside from bragging rights, the winner takes home a Jeopardy! YouTube plaque and money for charity.

What is different about this version?

This version is a bit different as it only includes one round of Jeopardy!, interviews, and a Final Jeopardy question for a quick 20-minute episode. Another difference is that, in the first episode, Jennings broke the fourth wall and talked to the audience, saying how many clues each contestant got right and their buzzer accuracy.
