Paul Pierce Dragged Back to Court by Ex Over Missing Financial Records
Trouble in court is brewing once again for Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce.
Pierce is being dragged back to court by his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child, Los Angeles-based event director Princess Santiago, who accuses the former NBA star of playing games with his finances and hiding key financial records.
According to TMZ Sports, Santiago filed new legal documents claiming that Pierce has failed to provide complete documentation from his cannabis business and his income from Fox Sports 1. She also alleges that he has neglected to disclose his ownership interest in a commercial property.
The dispute also involves a prior court order. Santiago claims Pierce failed to pay a previously mandated $10,000 intended to help her hire a forensic accountant to audit his finances. As a result of the ongoing battle, Santiago’s new motion asks the court to get Pierce to pay an extra $40,000 in legal fees along with the overdue $10,000 accountant expense.
The filing follows an August support ruling where Pierce was ordered to pay $8,508 per month in temporary child support, which was down from Santiago’s initial $30,000 monthly request, plus $100,000 in legal fees. Financial documents disclosed during that hearing showed Pierce was averaging between $128,000 and $165,000 per month in income, though Santiago maintains that additional revenue streams were kept off the books.
Santiago has regularly posted her son on her Instagram account since pregnancy and his birth, including a post from April where she is seen carrying him by a pool, and with an slide that reads, “My goal isn’t to raise a son who’s liked by everyone. It’s to raise a son who stands for what’s right – even if he stands alone.”

Over a 19-season NBA career with the Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, and Los Angeles Clippers, Pierce earned roughly $198 million in salary, giving him an estimated current net worth of around $70 million to $80 million.
He was previously married to Julie Landrum from 2010 until their divorce in 2023, with whom he shares three children. Following their split, his relationship with Princess Santiago has played out publicly through child support and custody disputes over their young son.
Since hanging up his jersey after the 2016-17 season, Pierce has transitioned into sports media, working as an analyst for Fox Sports 1, hosting media projects, and expanding his personal business ventures in the cannabis industry.
