‘MobLand’ Sneak Peek: Maeve Sends Eddie on Mystery Mission
MobLand fans know by now that Maeve Harrigan (Helen Mirren) is not to be trusted, but does Eddie (Anson Boon) know that? Apparently not.
In this exclusive sneak peek at Friday’s (October 9) new episode, titled “Blank Curtain,” we see that Eddie has taken leave of London, per Maeve’s orders, and he has brought along Gina (Teddie Allen) with him. While Maeve thinks that decision is “excellent,” even Eddie has come to know Maeve’s disdain for his girlfriend, so that can’t be good news.
In the clip, Maeve calls Eddie to spout out some poetry, musing, “Ride out for me my gallant one past rivers black and mountain done. Bring back the sword our fellow fools keeps, and I’ll watch for your sails while the children sleep.”
After Eddie reports that he and Gina have made it to their destination, he asks what the trip is about anyway?
“You mean, what’s the reason for your quest? All in good time, fair knight. All in good time,” Maeve says with a smile as she sip red wine and continues to draw a bath.
Anything that makes Maeve this giddy is something to be feared, no doubt.

In the general sneak peek for this week’s new episode, we see that Harry Da Souza (Tom Hardy) will warn Conrad (Pierce Brosnan) that the family became destined for war as soon as he declined the demand of Kat McAlister (Janet McTeer) to come work for him.
As Conrad warns someone — we don’t see exactly who — that “it’s time to pick a side,” we get a hint of Seraphina’s (Mandeep Dhillon) perspective as she says, “This ship is going down.”
MobLand‘s second season premiered on September 18, with a fiery reintroduction to the family, which is currently in the middle of a civil war as Kevin (Paddy Considine) continues to be estranged from his father, and Sera attempts to make her own luck with a clandestine meeting with Kat. Meanwhile, Harry’s own family is falling apart, as Gina has flown the coop and Jan (Joanne Froggatt) wants a divorce. All the while, Kat and Colin Tattersall (Toby Jones) have conspired to back Frankie Cooper (Johnny Flynn) in a coup against the Harrigans to take over the London crime scene, and Maeve has been playing her own game with Eddie.
