‘Scarlett Holmes’: Lucy Hale to Star in Sherlock Holmes Series With a Romantic Twist

There have been quite a few adaptations of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s characters, Sherlock Holmes, John Watson, and James Moriarty. Now, Roku is entering that game with a romantic spin — yes, involving the Holmes and Moriarty characters — with a limited series, Scarlett Holmes, starring and executive produced by Lucy Hale.

“I am a true diehard fan of romantic comedies, and Scarlett Holmes has that special something that made me fall in love with the genre in the first place,” said Hale in a statement. “And I love that it brings mystery into the rom-com world in a way that feels really fresh and fun. The limited series is produced by Jaggi Entertainment, with Sophie Tilson and Steve Jaggi serving as executive producers along with Hale. Paris Herbert-Taylor and Katie Wilbert are writers. The series is overseen by Morgan Pichinson and Sabrina Lyall on behalf of Roku.
