Ken Jennings Thinks New ‘Jeopardy!’ Bus Shelter Ad Looks Like a ‘Sex Thriller’
Is Jeopardy! getting an R-rating? Host Ken Jennings poked fun at the game show‘s new bus shelter ad and said it looked like a “sex thriller.”
“Jeopardy!, but it’s one of those sex thrillers from the ‘90s starring, like, Stephen Baldwin,” he captioned his Instagram post on September 20.
The post featured a photo of a bus stop. On the side of it was a small billboard advertising Jeopardy!. It said “Jeopardy!, All-new season September 14, weeknights, 7pm, ABC7.” On a blue background was half of Jennings’ face with a closed-mouth smile.
ABC7 is the official Los Angeles and Southern California station for Jeopardy!. The syndicated game show airs on different channels and times throughout the country. Jeopardy! is filmed in Culver City, California, at Sony Pictures Studios.
It’s not clear if he stopped to take a photo of this or if he was sent it. The exact location of this bus station is also unknown.

The poster was used in official advertising for the game show, but when it was posted to social media, it looked less sinister. Both of his eyes were shown, and the background had more color to it.
Fans reacted to the billboard in the comments. “It’s like Double Jeopardy (1999), but half,” one fan said.
“Indecent Wager, tonight on UPN,” another Instagram user commented. Some fans said the 90s sex thriller should star Jennings.
“Is there a dark side to Ken Jennings? I don’t think so. However, he did play a trivia villain on The Chase, so be careful with him. Hehehe,” a third joked.
“Every episode is a sex thriller,” another joked.
Other fans did parodies of the song “Somebody’s Watching Me,” but changed the lyrics to “Ken is watching me.” Another imitated The Shining and said “Heeere’s Kenny!”
“I hope there’s a scene with a lot of saxophones in the background,” another fan said.
“90’s sex thriller! Nothing like being a little bit scared and a little bit horny,” one wrote.
“Wait… so… Jeopardy! *isn’t* a sex thriller?!” one fan wondered.
