Patrick Clancy’s wife, Dr. Rachel Danis, is speaking out after his ex-wife Lindsay Clancy‘s trial for killing their three children.
Ahead of Patrick’s exclusive interview with 60 Minutes, set to air on Sunday, September 20, CBS released a sneak peek of what his current spouse had to say about him.
Rachel, 37, a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist based in New York City, married Patrick in April 2026 — three years after Lindsay, 36, killed her and Patrick’s three children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months.
In the clip, Rachel admitted, “I don’t understand how the story has been so twisted. But I would hope people know that Pat is, as I said before, the most selfless father and supportive partner.”
She added, “I was just a girl that met a guy running in Central Park on a really cold Saturday. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.”

On September 4, Lindsay’s murder trial ended in a mistrial after the jury could not come to a unanimous decision. She faced three first-degree murder counts in the deaths of her children.
Patrick found their three kids strangled with exercise bands in their Duxbury, Massachusetts, home, on January 4, 2023, after returning from running errands. He also discovered that Lindsay had cut her wrists and throat and jumped out of a second-story window, paralyzing her from the waist down.
Lindsay’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, did not dispute that she killed the kids. However, he argued that she is not criminally responsible due to suffering from severe postpartum psychosis.
On September 29, a status hearing will be held, and prosecutors are expected to announce whether they intend to retry the case with a new jury.
