Dr. Drew Pinsky made a wild claim on the Tuesday (September 8) episode of his YouTube show when he said the Lindsay Clancy murder trial is the latest example of why men are “fleeing” abroad to find love.
The former Loveline cohost was speaking with attorney Christina Bobb about the case, which ended in a mistrial on Friday (September 4) after the jury remained deadlocked. Per Mediaite, Bobb said that many men are living in a “weird, twisted world” where women have told them to “sit down and shut up” when it comes to the Clancy trial.
“It’s also leading to alienation between men and women,” Pinsky added. “Just as an observer, hearing from young men like, ‘What’s in this for me? If I get married, it’s 50 percent or 60 percent failure, and they take half my stuff, and take my kids, and take my house, and then they can kill my kids. So what are we doing here? Why do we do this?'”
He went on to claim that men in the U.S. are “fleeing to other countries” to find their soulmate, though he didn’t provide any stats or information on which countries.
Clancy stood accused of strangling her three young children to death in January 2023. Her defense argued that she was legally insane at the time due to postpartum psychosis. After approximately 38 hours of deliberation, 11 jurors voted for an acquittal, while one male juror held out for a conviction, leading to a mistrial.
During his YouTube show, Pinsky also talked with psychiatrist Dr. Daniel Amen, who said he didn’t buy the defense that Clancy heard voices in her head that told her to kill her children.
“I haven’t evaluated her, so I can’t tell you with any degree of certainty. But the idea that you hear a voice once, it tells you to kill the children, then you never hear it again…,” he stated. “I’ve been a psychiatrist for 44 years, never seen that once, or anything close to that. It doesn’t make any sense to me.”
While he shared sympathy for Clancy, noting that she had “terrible care,” he said that she still needed to be punished. “We still can’t say it’s okay to murder your children,” he stated.
“Yes, exactly,” Pinsky agreed.

He's not far off. Misogyny is rampant and subjugation is easier on foreign women.

a “weird, twisted world” where women have told [men] to “sit down and shut up” when it comes to the Clancy trial.
Umm, maybe because many men neither see, nor have any interest in understanding, the intricacies of what Ms. Clancy allegedly went through. All they see is the headline.
