Former ESPN host David Pollack asked followers for prayers amid a family health scare.
On Tuesday, September 15, the College GameDay alum, 44, took to X with a request for followers as his wife, Lindsey Hopkins Pollack, received major medical news.
“We didn’t get the best news today at a doctors visit,” Pollack wrote. “Surgery #3 coming for my Babydoll(wifey). She looked at me and said God has been building me for this, And thank goodness its on a bye week so Nicholas doesn’t have game.”
He continued, “No blink! No doubt! No fear! Just Jesus! Its humbling to watch. It doesn’t mean I’m not scared as hail, but man the Peace of God is incredible,” also sharing one of Lindsay’s favorite verses from the Bible.
To conclude the health update, Pollack shared, “She is weak right now, but our God isn’t. If you are the praying type we will take em all.”

In the comments, Pollack’s followers showered him with prayers and well-wishes, with on X user writing, “Sending love and prayers to you and your family,” alongside red heart and praying emoji hands.
Another shared, “Prayers to our Heavenly Father for strength and healing for your wife and for you!”
Someone else echoed, “Prayers for your wife and family, brother.”

Pollack exited ESPN’s College GameDay in June 2023, amid a round of layoffs; he had worked as an analyst for the Saturday morning program since 2011. Today, Pollack hosts the See Ball Get Ball podcast and works as a high school football coach and independent college football analyst.
He and Lindsay have been married since 2005 and share two children, Nicholas, 17, and Leah, 16.
