HGTV Fans Celebrate Egypt Sherrod & Mike Jackson’s Special Relationship Milestone

Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson have been a power couple long before they became HGTV stars.

The couple tied the knot in 2010 and welcomed their eldest daughter, Kendall, in 2012, followed by daughter Harper in 2019. Sherrod is also the stepmother of Jackson’s daughter Simone, whom he welcomed during a previous relationship. The duo joined the ranks of other real-life couples hosting HGTV shows with the debut of their series Married to Real Estate in 2022.

On Thursday, September 10, Sherrod paid tribute to her husband and costar on their 16th wedding anniversary. “Happy Anniversary to us! 16 years married, 22 years running these streets together,” she wrote via Instagram. “‘Til the wheels fall off or we pull up at the pearly gates… either way, just make sure we rode out together. 22 down. Forever to go.”

Sherrod’s post featured a fun video of her and Jackson posing for faux magazine covers with a photographer. Fans filled the post’s comments section with congratulatory messages, including one fan who wrote, “This isn’t to be PLAYED WITH!!!!!! Left not a single crumb for the people!!!! Omg.” Another gushed, “I’m going to tell people that this [is] my favorite Barbie & Ken!!! Happy Anniversary.”

Someone else shared, “I almost threw my phone! Y’all ate that up, my goodness! Oh, and happy anniversary you two lovebirds!!” A different person posted, “Happy Anniversary!!! We can’t handle the [fire] you two are but keep bringing it!!!” A separate commenter stated, “Happy Anniversary, Mike & Egypt! Continued blessings to you both!”

Jackson shared his own anniversary tribute via Instagram on Friday, September 11. “Happy 16th Anniversary, Babe!! 22 years together. 16 years married. And I’d still choose YOU,” he wrote. “Today I celebrate my wife, my best friend, my partner, and the woman God chose to walk this life with me. Marriage isn’t about finding someone perfect. It’s about two imperfect people making a sacred commitment to keep choosing, loving, forgiving, growing, praying, and believing in one another through every season.”

He continued, “Baby, I’ve watched you grow, evolve, overcome, build, love, and become even more of the incredible woman God created you to be. And after 22 years, I don’t just love you… I admire you. I honor you. We’ve laughed. We’ve cried. We’ve won. We’ve learned. We’ve changed. But through it all, God kept us, love grew us, and commitment anchored us.”

Jackson concluded his post on a fun note, writing, “22 years of us. 16 years of covenant. A lifetime still to go. Let’s continue to keep it fun, sexy, and spontaneous.” The post featured a sweet video montage of the couple, including clips of the pair at red carpet events, traveling the world together, and relaxing at home.

The pair’s anniversary comes one year after HGTV canceled Married to Real Estate after four seasons in June 2025. Sherrod and Jackson are currently filming new renovation shows, but have not confirmed whether the projects will air on HGTV or elsewhere.
