Erika Eleniak Shares Sneak Peek of ‘Baywatch’ Reboot Return

Erika Eleniak just shared a sneak peek at her Baywatch return.

On Tuesday, September 8, the actress who played Shauni McClain in the original ’90s series took to Instagram with photos from the set of the Baywatch reboot premiering early next year.

“Here’s a little sneak peek from my return to Baywatch @baywatchtv,” Eleniak, 56, captioned her update. “My cameo episode is currently scheduled to air on FOX in January 2027.”

She continued, “Now I’m hoping they bring me back as a season regular for Season 2. Maybe I can convince Billy Warlock to join me, and we could finally see the return of Shauni and Eddie!” Who would watch if Shauni and Eddie came back to Baywatch?”

The carousel of snapshots featured Eleniak filming her reboot episode; she wore an olive green jumpsuit with a white tie-front cardigan on the beach.

Fans reacted to the idea of an Eddie and Shauni reunion in the Baywatch reboot, with one Instagram user declaring, “Oh yes, we need you as a series regular, and a major Shauni and Eddie reunion!”

Another agreed, writing, “Yes!!!! You are the BEST couple of Baywatch. Shauni & Eddie forever!!!”

Someone else echoed, “We want Shauni and Eddie back together. It was a mistake [in] the movie where they say they weren’t together anymore. Big hugs.”

A different follower shared, “Shauni and Eddie back? Don’t play with my dreams!”

Meanwhile, yet another Instagram user pointed out, “As if you never left the show. Still beautiful as ever.”

In the original show, Shauni and Eddie butted heads at first as Baywatch lifeguards, but over the years, a friendship and eventual romance bloomed. They got engaged and married in Season 3. However, in the 2003 reunion film Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding, Eddie mentioned that he and Shauni had separated.

In addition to Eleniak, the reboot cast includes Stephen Amell as Hobie, David Chokachi as Cody, Kelly Packard as April Giminski, Michael Bergin as Jack “J.D.” Darius, Jessica Belkin as Charlie, Shay Mitchell as Trina, Hassie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Brooks Nader as Selene, Noah Beck as Luke, Livvy Dunne as Grace, and Nadia Gray as Lisa.
