Viewers have anxiously been waiting for the release of Alix Earle‘s new reality show, Earle Meets World, to hear her talk about her feud with Alex Cooper for the first time. The penultimate episode ended with Alix at Coachella, finding out that Alex had publicly called her out for liking negative posts about her on social media. The podcaster urged her former protégé to “get specific and just say what you’ve got to say about me.”

At the time, Alix replied,””Okay on it!!!,” but never shared her side of the story. And while she admitted to TV Insider that “it’s really impossible to even fit everything I would probably want to say into a single episode of a show,” she did dive into the subject in the Season 1 finale.

After returning home from Coachella, Alix met up with her sister Ashtin Earle, dad TJ Earle, mom Alisa Earle, stepmom Ashley Dupre, and Alisa’s boyfriend, Todd, to discuss the situation. In a confessional, she explained why she didn’t respond to Alex on social media: “I feel like I’m being baited into saying something, so that I’m like … what do you have up your sleeve that you’re trying to trick me with?”

She also admitted, “I don’t want to speak just on emotion and attack someone and not take a moment to think three steps ahead … because [Alex] probably is.”

Alix said she was “scared of Alex Cooper,” which is why she “stayed quiet” for so long. “I found out I was no longer working with [her company] Unwell through the media,” she added. “I’m just intimidated. I don’t know what she’s going to do or how she’s going to twist things. I always hope that karma or something would do its thing one day, and karma is taking a while.”

Unwell is the media company owned by Alex and her husband. Alix launched her Hot Mess podcast with the company in 2023, but was dropped by Unwell in February 2025. TJ said it was “not a great working relationship” for his daughter.

“It was constantly thing after thing,” Alix explained. “They were a startup company at the time, so things weren’t going to go great, but there were just constantly issues. It wasn’t run properly and it wasn’t what I was promised or told that it was going to be like working with them.”

TJ broke down the business side of things, explaining that the Earles chose to work with Unwell because Alix “looked up to Alex Cooper” and they hoped she would “be able to mentor Alix in the podcasting business and show her how to put together a show and give her all the resources to produce and develop a great show.”

However, according to the family patriarch, Unwell “came in way below what they promised.” He said, “We were like, ‘Oh, I guess this is how you produce a podcast. You sit on a bed that they sent you, and you film it yourself. There’s no production crew.’ We come to find out, because Alix has other friends that do podcasts, that they’re actually given real resources to do a show. They have a producer. They have people helping them film and set up lighting. Alix had none of that. She was doing it by herself, traveling around with suitcases full of cameras, doing it herself. So you have the show, the revenue coming in from the show, and then the expenses get taken out of the revenue, and what’s leftover is your profit, which gets split between Alix and Unwell. There was no expenses because they had Alix doing everything.”

For Alix, though, the disappointment had nothing to do with money and contracts. “I felt pressured into signing with them again, so I did, and they said, ‘OK, hire your own people for the show, we’re taking everyone off,'” she shared. “They didn’t invite me to events, they didn’t talk to me, they didn’t come to meetings anymore. I’m like, ‘Why am I paying you to do something I’m not even happy doing and you’re not even giving me any support? I feel scared of you.'”

She added that things also “went wrong” on the “personality” side of her relationship with Alex. “From the start, I didn’t realize things were going wrong because I was obsessed with her. This is my idol. I’m so happy to work with her. Then, I constantly felt taken advantage of and used and mistreated and manipulated. We were filming her podcast [in September 2023] and she’s having us drink before and asking me really sexual questions I wasn’t comfortable with, but I’m also answering because I’m drunk.”

Alix said she asked to take part of those “raunchy questions” out of the interview, but Alex assured her it was “so funny.”

“It’s stuff I didn’t necessarily want to live on the internet forever,” Alix explained. “So that definitely hurt me. It hurts now. But in the moment I was like, ‘She’s looking out for me.'”

The influencer broke down in tears as she told her family, “What I was thinking, which makes me so sad for me at the time, is I was so happy. I trusted her so much and all she did was s**t on it. And it sucks. The things she put out there are stuff I can never take back. Like, my kids are going to see that, and it took a toll on all of us. After that interview, when we talked about our family experience, I cried to her, like, ‘Thanks, this meant so much to me, I really look up to you, and I’m so happy I got to share this story.’ And it just makes me feel like a f**king loser. I was so excited and happy and thought I was doing something so good, and I was doing something so hurtful to all of us.”

A few days later, Alix met up with TJ and Ashley to read a text she had drafted up to Alex. It said: “I wanted to write you directly and let you know why I don’t like you. I’m not going to fall for your bait of getting me into a back and forth online and I don’t think you want that either. You are manipulative and toxic. Go ahead and say it’s just business all you want, but the way you approach business is disgusting. You choose money over morals. You took advantage of me at a young age in an industry I knew nothing about. You were full of false promises, and Unwell was a continuation of that. We had a call where you threatened me to not go to war with you because you know how sick and twisted you are. Go ahead and share this, use it against me, but you will no longer scare or trap me. You’re right, I may be petty, but I’m not malicious. If there’s one thing I learned from doing business with you, it’s never to do business with anyone like you.”

TJ began to tell Alix to send the text to her lawyer, but then stopped himself when Ashley warned him about getting the legal team involved. This prompted Alix to joke about what her attorney would tell her to write in the text: “I FEEL that you are a witch. You’re not a witch. I FEEL I don’t wanna be sued so I FEEL that you are manipulative and I FEEL that you are a bully and I FEEL that you are toxic and I FEEL that you are disgusting.” It does not appear that she ever sent the message.

Alix complained to her father for telling her not to post right when Alex first called her out. She explained that she wanted to say, “You know what, I never said anything when things went down because we work with a lot of the same people and then I’m putting them in a s**tty situation so I always try to make the peace. And yeah, I have been petty, but she can’t call me petty because she made a whole music video about me.”

TJ told her that would have been the “perfect post,” and Alix replied, “I KNOW! I had this drafted and ready to go. I was still hungover from Coachella, I was outside with the birds chirping. … This would’ve all been fine. And this is why I’m going to trust my gut from now on.”
