What To Know

  • Jonathan Knight returned to HGTV with the new series Crashers earlier this year.
  • Knight addressed the show’s current hiatus on social media and confirmed when new episodes will air.
  • The show marked Knight’s first HGTV project since the cancellation of Farmhouse Fixer last year.

Jonathan Knight is hard at work helping more homeowners across the country.

Back in June, Knight made his HGTV return with a revival of the Crashers franchise. Following a similar format to its predecessors, such as Kitchen Crashers, Yard Crashers, and Bath Crashers, the new Crashers series follows Knight as he “ambushes folks anywhere from furniture boutiques to the hardware store or even the local paint shop to offer them a fast-paced reno with a catch,” per the show’s official description.

Knight’s renovations, however, come with a few catches. Homeowners have no say in Knight’s design choices and must vacate their house for three days as the transformation takes place. “Throughout the season Jon will complete jaw dropping whirlwind transformations, from beautiful backyards to dazzling kitchens, with the help of his team of skilled designers,” the synopsis continues.

Crashers was announced as a 13-episode season, but only 11 episodes have aired so far. Knight addressed the show’s pause in a Thursday, August 27, Instagram post, as well as confirmed when fans will see new episodes.

“All new episodes of Crashers coming in 2027,” he captioned a video of himself walking around what looked like a job site.

Fans reacted to the news in the post’s comments, with one user writing, “Jon, I’m really enjoying this show. I don’t know if I can wait until 2027! Maybe we can ‘Crash’ in Vegas!” Another person asked, “Any clues as to which state you will be in?” Knight replied, “You mean which state I am in. It’s a new state.”

Someone else shared, “Love your new show!! Come crash any room in my house or backyard!!” A different fan questioned, “2027?!? What?!? WHY.” Knight responded, “Why??? Cause we have to film the episodes first.” A separate commenter gushed, “CONGRATULATIONS on the new season, but that’s a long time to wait to see your handsome face on TV!”

Jonathan’s sister, Sharon Knight, offered more insight into the show’s break via Facebook. “Just an FYI… Jonathan confirmed with me over the weekend, while he was home, that the remaining episodes of the second half of Season 1 ‘CRASHERS’ won’t air until January,” she wrote on Monday, August 31, adding that Jonathan is “busy filming them now-before and after his NKOTB Vegas residency.”

Long before his HGTV Fame, Jonathan rose to fame as a member of the boy band New Kids on the Block. The group currently has a Las Vegas residency at the Dolby Live at Park MGM. Per the band’s website, the next lineup of residency shows will run from October 2 through October 17.

Crashers marked Jonathan’s first major HGTV project since the cancellation of Farmhouse Fixer last year. The series was one of several shows the network axed, including Bargain Block, Married to Real Estate, Izzy Does It, Christina on the Coast, and The Flipping El Moussas.
