The Howard Stern Show is coming to streaming for the first time ever in September. This news comes after Howard Stern struck a three-year dear with SiriusXM back in December 2025 after a contract standoff that left his radio show’s future in question. Now, he’s returning to SiriusXM on September 14 to produce one live show a week, down from the previous two, and SiriusXM is partnering with HBO Max to make the new episodes available for streaming.

Here’s everything you need to know in order to start watching.

Starting September 17, The Howard Stern Show is going to release weekly episodes on HBO Max. The Howard Stern Show will air live on Mondays on SiriusXM, and then the show will be adapted into a streamable episode for HBO Max with periodic extras. Past episodes of the live show are not coming to HBO Max. It’s just new episodes coming to the streamer moving forward.

With this new streaming deal, Stern’s Howard 101 channel is leaving the SiriusXM lineup. Remaining content will air on Ch. 100. Andy Cohen‘s Radio Andy will move to Ch. 101 from Ch. 102.

Additionally on September 14, Stern will unveil a new lineup for his long-time SiriusXM channel Howard 100, including Wrap Up Wednesday, an expanded version of Howard’s Wrap Up Show hosted by Gary Dell’Abate and Jon Hein, plus new ways to hear his multi-decade library of past shows. The Howard Stern section of the SiriusXM app is also expanding to include “Howard Stern Decades” for instant access to Howard’s content from, or about, the ’80s, ’90s, ’00s and ’10s.

What time do Howard Stern Show episodes come out on HBO Max?

New episodes of The Howard Stern Show will come out on Thursdays on HBO Max at 3:01 a.m. ET/12:01 a.m. PT.

“Legendary innovator, broadcaster, and ‘King of All Media’ Howard Stern brings his signature, long-running SiriusXM program to HBO Max,” the streamer says. “Each week, Howard’s SiriusXM show will be adapted into a streamable episode for HBO Max with periodic extras. Each episode spotlights Stern’s boundary-pushing humor, social commentary, and intimate conversations — all with his iconic voice and unique perspective. Recognized as one of the best interviewers in the business, the series also features Howard’s in-depth, candid conversations with celebrities, musicians, and more. Joined by his longtime team, including Robin Quivers, Fred Norris, and Gary Dell’Abate, The Howard Stern Show delivers the unusual, unexpected, and uncensored for devoted fans and new viewers alike.”

“Howard Stern has always been in a category of his own with an unmistakable, unique take on the world,” Casey Bloys. Chairman and CEO, HBO and HBO Max Content, said. “Howard has changed radio and media at large with his ability to draw the most out of his guests and cultivate a following like no other. We couldn’t be happier to welcome Howard to HBO Max and to partner with SiriusXM to bring The Howard Stern Show to the platform.”

“As the ‘King of All Media,’ I am honored to bring my SiriusXM show to HBO Max, and through HBO Max to worldwide distribution,” Stern said. “For years, my SiriusXM show has offered only brief video peeks. HBO convinced me to pull back the curtain and let the world watch; the amazing celebrities and musicians who drop by, our staff antics, and my conversations with Robin. Bringing my latest SiriusXM shows to HBO Max’s millions of viewers, every week, is a career highlight, and I’m thrilled to be joining the ranks of such prestigious television.”

Wonderful! The first time I listened to Howard, I was on the bus heading to middle school, 6th grade. I was just searching the radio (it was the 90s), and I liked talk radio in the mornings, ‘cause it helped me wake up. I found Howard. He cracked me up. I was hooked and obsessed! I listened to his show everyday until he moved to Sirius. Read his book. Watched his movie. Now I can listen to Howard again! I have HBOMAX for free with DirecTV, so this excites me very much! I joke I was raised by Howard and all the things I say and do aren’t my fault. Lol. And yeah, I’m a very progressive very fem lesbian so not exactly his demo. 😂

I have no idea what Stern's been up to since he left terrestrial radio. I'd rather cut my right arm off than pay for radio. I will check out the show on HBO Max. See what I've been missing the last 20 years.
