The latest evening news ratings are in, and it’s good news for NBC Nighty News with Tom Llamas, which knocked ABC World News Tonight with David Muir off the top spot in the coveted Adults 25-54 demographic.
According to AdWeek, citing national live+same-day big data plus program ratings from Nielsen, NBC Nightly News averaged 6.557 million total viewers and 1.065 million demo viewers for the week of August 3. This put it ahead of World News Tonight in the demo by 26,000 viewers.
Nightly News was also the only evening news broadcast to see week-to-week growth in both total viewers and the demo. Compared to the week before, the show was up 1 percent in total viewers and up 12 percent in the key demo. It was also up on the same period last year, with an increase of 25 percent in total viewers and 49 percent in the demo.
Despite the demo drop, World News Tonight still held the top spot in total viewers. The show averaged 8.339 million total viewers and 1.039 million demo viewers for the week of August 3. This was up 2 percent in total viewers from the prior week but down 4 percent in the demo.

CBS rating will continue to fall, they are FOX undercover. I can't wait until my Paramount + expires, so I can cancel it for good.

Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! both went into reruns. I'm sure that plays a factor in ABC News ratings dropping a bit.

How does Fox compare?

Fox isn't a strictly "news" broadcast, they are more of a conservative opinion based entertainment broadcaster

After COVID and the Biden laptop, all news is entertainment. Just look at this article, it's all about the hosts as stars. They've disappeared up their own areas. They've made themselves the story

Nobody cares what the mainstream media has to say, all they do is push their own narrative!

David Muir has too many long commercial breaks. One story 7 commercials. Last 20 minutes of the broadcast is grueling to watch.
