What To Know
- The stars and creators of Ghosts preview Ben Feldman’s expanded role as Kyle in Season 6.
- Find out what dynamics are in store for the ghosts as they latch onto the living guest.
Ghosts Season 6 may call into question whether Pete (Richie Moriarty) is gone for good after disappearing at the end of Season 5, but one thing is for certain: Ben Feldman is being promoted to a series regular role as he reprises his character Kyle.
“He is such a pro every time we have him on set,” muses Román Zaragoza, who plays Woodstone spirit Sasappis. “We value ourselves on having amazing guest stars, an amazing cast, and he fits that mold,” Zaragoza adds, using the words “amazing” and “sweet” to describe Feldman, before jokingly adding, “unlike Richie Moriarty.”
As fans know by now, Kyle is a “living” who has the ability to see ghosts, just like Woodstone proprietor Sam (Rose McIver), who was expected to be away for a little while with a writing assignment far from home. Kyle’s presence will no doubt allow the ghosts to communicate with Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) without Sam to relay.

“I also think the Joes have done this amazing job with playing with group dynamics,” Asher Grodman, who portrays pantless spirit Trevor, says. “There are moments that we are all like kindergartners and Jay and Sam are our parents, and when Kyle shows up it’s like having the sub [or] the babysitter’s there, and we get to watch TV and stay up late at night,” Grodman paints the metaphor.
Season 6, Grodman teases, is “gonna be a lot of us acting like children, I would imagine; it’s a fun dynamic.”
Showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman also credit the ensemble with being so welcoming to the all-star guests who have stepped into Woodstone over the seasons. “Every time we have a guest star on the show, they reach out to us and say what an amazing time they had on set,” Wiseman gushes. “The Ghosts cast creates such a friendly and welcoming environment.”
When it came to introducing Kyle back in 2024, Port notes, “It was a big thing for the show that there was gonna be another person that could see ghosts. So we really wanted to find the right person. We searched a lot for that, and Ben really fit the bill.” Don’t miss the shifting dynamics within Woodstone as Kyle settles in, and let us know what you’re excited to see from his expanded role in Season 6 in the comments section below.
