‘American Idol’ Season 25: Should the Same Judges Return in 2027? (POLL)

Earlier this week, ABC confirmed that American Idol had been renewed for a milestone 25th season that will premiere in 2027. Auditions begin with “Idol Across America” at the end of August, and those who are selected will get to perform in front of the judges this fall. So far, it’s unclear who those judges will be.

Season 24 judges Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie were announced on August 25, right around when “Idol Across America” began, so we’ll likely be finding out who’s sitting at the table for Season 25 soon. Whether or not Underwood, Bryan, and Richie return remains to be seen.

Since Idol moved over to ABC in 2018, Richie and Bryan have been judges. They were joined by Katy Perry for seven seasons before she left and was replaced by Underwood in Season 23. Since Underwood won the show herself back in 2005, she’s been able to offer a perspective unlike any other.

If Bryan, Richie, and Underwood all come back for Season 25, it will be their third year in a row working together on the show, but is that the right move? There have been mixed feelings among fans about this trio.
