Tomi Lahren Worried About ‘Unhappy’ Republicans Ahead of Midterm Elections

Fox News‘ Tomi Lahren has some fears for the Republican Party ahead of the 2026 Midterm elections.

During the Sunday, July 26, episode of The Big Weekend Show, guest host Taylor Riggs brought up a recent report from The Washington Report claiming that Republican voters are feeling a lack of enthusiasm leading into the midterms, particularly with men under the age of 40.

“Tomi, we were talking about this yesterday, where, I can’t ask you to come out and vote for me just ‘cause you don’t like the other guy. You have to come out and get enthusiasm because I’m giving you something to believe and to hope for again,” Riggs stated, per Mediaite, before asking Lahren, “ Do you think that they have it this time around, because I will tell you, my young friends from law school who are very pro-[Zohran] Mamdani and socialism, they have enthusiasm. They are fired up and ready to go.”

Lahren quipped that many Democratic voters will “crawl over broken glass to vote,” and that she suspects the same thing won’t happen for Republicans since President Donald Trump isn’t on the election ballot.

Lahren went on to credit Republicans’ lack of enthusiasm to “the promises that were made that a lot of Republicans in office are not fulfilling.” She explained, “Mass deportations are not ‘mass’ in any sense of the word. Yes, the border is closed, but a Democrat can open that wide up again, and we saw what happens when you do. But also, [the] Save America Act. We need voter ID, proof of citizenship. If you can’t get the full thing, at least get voter ID. Republicans can’t get that across the finish line. They want to take a break, they want to take a recess without doing that, and there are some that do want to stay and get it done.”

Lahren said she understands how young male voters may be “frustrated that things are costing a lot” and may be struggling to get a “high-paying job,” something she blamed on “illegal aliens soaking up the job market.”

Despite the enthusiasm reports, Lahren said she is optimistic for the midterms as long as Republicans begin to fulfill their previous campaign promises. “There’s a lot of issues that Republicans have yet to address,” she stated. “I think that they can, but you have to answer something with something. You can’t answer something with nothing. “

Lahren said it all comes down to people not being happy “with the status quo,” saying, “The worst thing that can happen is you tell people are going to stay exactly the same if they’re already unhappy. I don’t want Republicans to fall in the trap.”
