Joe Biden Curses & Chokes Up on Jay Leno’s YouTube Show
What To Know
- Joe Biden appeared on Jay Leno’s YouTube show Monday.
- Amid the extended conversation, the former president got choked up and let the curse words fly.
Former President Joe Biden was the featured guest of Jay Leno‘s YouTube show, Jay Leno’s Garage, on Monday (June 15), and the two chatted up a storm while driving around in Biden’s prized 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray convertible.
Among the topics discussed during their extended ride — which, of course, included a stop for ice cream — was the impact Biden’s presidency had on protected lands in California, his preference for American-made cars, his million-plus miles traveled on the Amtrak, and one tender discussion of Biden’s late son, Beau Biden.
While traveling in the sunshine, with Secret Service in tow, Biden told the former The Late Show host that he wished Leno had gotten to meet Beau before sharing a story of remembrance that nearly brought him to tears.
In it, Biden recalled the moment his son revealed he was joining the National Guard, explaining, “85% of everyone in Iraq is National Guard and mostly Delaware [residents]. How can I be home? I’m 41 years old.” The story then shifted forward to the moment when, after Beau returned home and was diagnosed with brain cancer, he urged his father not to give up on his career due to grief. After a dinner at Beau’s house, he told the then-vice president, “Dad, I’m not afraid of dying. It’ll be OK. I know I’m going, all right, Dad? And I know what you’re going to do. You’re going to quit when I die. Dad, look at me. Look at me, Dad, god dammit… give me your word as a Biden you will not quit when I die.”
That wasn’t the only time in the interview Biden used profanity to illustrate passion about a subject. He also used the phrase when discussing his own opinion of the value of labor unions, particularly in the automobile industry. First, Leno recalled the time he put on a free show in Detroit for any workers who’d been impacted by layoffs in the industry, and despite warnings that it would be “bedlam,” he found that the audience was perfectly behaved. Leno then said, ‘You realize that all people want is to just give them a break.” To that, Biden said, “That’s exactly right, god dammit.”

Certainly more mentally competent than Trump. Rattled off stats like he was still in office and his self effacing humor is refreshing considering what we’ve had to put up with from 45-47.

Though I Greatly dislike Joe Biden. And Really despise what he and his Group President did to our country. I Do wish him well in his battle with cancer. And I Do have compassion about him losing Beau. Terrible to lose a child regardless of their age. Beau was his son and always will be and losing him has to hurt really bad. Prayers for your full and speedy recovery Joe.🙏. P.S. Love ole Jay and glad he’s doing well. Hey Jay let me have your cheapest classic car !! Use it as a tax write off !! 🤣

Why do you capitalize random words? It's very strange and makes it seem like you don't know how English works. Are you a US citizen? Because you type like someone who has a poor sense of English.

Because I’m an American Military Veteran and have the Freedom to do so. You don’t like my use of English it’s really very simple don’t read. But I’ll give you a clue I capitalize words to drive home certain points for slow people like YOU. Obviously you just arrived here from another planet as numerous people do this all the time. Love how you pretend not to have ever seen such a strange thing before. Now the truth it wasn’t really my use of English that upset you. It was my initial comments about Joe Biden. Well news flash for you I have a right to my opinions just like you do. Having served my country I believe I’m entitled to my opinions. If you don’t like them that’s tough for you because frankly I don’t care. If it annoys you maybe I should capitalize even MORE ! 🤣

Well I like that you've really cut down on the random capitalization here. So good for you! You learned proper English!!!

But also, I can barely understand what you're trying to say. I guess it's good that the US let's non-English speakers join the military. You have a story of true American immigration.
Anyway "Now the truth it wasn’t really my use of English that upset you." Is this supposed to be a complete sentence? Or did you forget how English works again? Sad!!!!

This reads as an opportunity to trash Joe Biden and air your personal grievances against him under the cover of wishing him well. If you had been in earnest, you could have just said, 'I've never voted for Joe Biden,' or 'I seldom agree with Joe Biden,' or even 'I've never thought much of Joe Biden' and then pivoted to saying something nice. Instead, you ranted and made both of your political points. After that, nothing else you said meant much.
