Kate Mansi Exits ‘General Hospital’ as Kristina Corinthos — See Her Last Day on Set

After three years as Kristina Corinthos-Davis on General Hospital, Kate Mansi has chosen to exit the role.
“I’ve made the very difficult decision to leave General Hospital,” Mansi told me in my newsletter. “I have a few new projects that require my full attention, and with my husband [Matt McInnis] currently producing a series filming primarily abroad, I needed the flexibility to travel while continuing to develop and work in Los Angeles.”
Mansi joined GH in 2023 after an Emmy-winning run as Days of Our Lives‘s Abigail. Over her three-year run, her storylines included serving as a surrogate for her sister Molly Lansing (Kristen Vaganos) and T.J. Ashford (Tajh Bellow), a pregnancy that ultimately ended in the baby’s tragic death following a fiery confrontation with Ava Jerome (Maura West). Mansi received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2025 for her work in that storyline.

Kristina also embarked on an ill-fated romance with Allie Rogers (a.k.a., Blaze, Jacqueline Grace Lopez), and ran the recently reopened Charlie’s pub.
Mansi is especially proud of the emotionally rich material she was able to explore through Kristina. “When Frank first approached me about the role, two things deeply resonated with me: the opportunity to show my support for the queer community by playing an LGBTQ+ character, and to help tell an endometriosis storyline,” she reflects. “Together, I truly feel we honored both of those stories in a way that mattered. And the fact that I got to direct was simply the icing on the cake! Now, it feels like the right time for both Kristina and me to step into new adventures.”
She adds she’s deeply appreciative of the opportunities she had in Port Charles. “I’m incredibly grateful to Frank, ABC, and our writers for the care they gave Kristina,” she says. “It’s been such a meaningful and unforgettable ride. I’ve loved being a fiery Corinthos-Davis girl in such a phenomenal family.”
Executive Producer Frank Valentini says, “We love Kate and support her decision to leave. The door is always open, and we appreciate all that she added to the show these past three years.”
The show has no plans to recast. Tune in to Tuesday’s episodes, where Kristina’s plans will be addressed.

She’s such a likable actress, it was disappointing when she left Days & now GH. Hopefully she’ll return one of these days.

Really like her and hate to see her leave. If this is what she truly wants I wish her the very best. She will be dearly missed. Hopefully they won’t kill her off like they did Sam. Enough of that for Alexis.

I've really enjoyed her portrayal of Kristina. I like her much better than the others who have played the role. But I thought she and her husband were expecting a baby?

That was a fake rumor. She’s not pregnant and if I’m not mistaken she suffers from endometriosis which makes it more difficult to get/stay pregnant. That doesn’t mean she can’t have children But it’ll be a little harder

You know I have a lot of respect for the craft of being a soap star and facing really groundbreaking tough things such as endometriosis or in my case I have that and poly ovarian cyst disease. It's not openly spoken about and it effects so many women....it effects and effected me. I was told I couldn't conceive, I proved them wrong. I didn't have sex for the first time until I was in my 30's and while I could conceive I couldn't carry past the first trimester. I had a total of 3 pregnancies with the last one resulting in twins. The first 2 miscarriages were so scary, painful, I started out being alone thru it and was able to get help, the last pregnancy sadly died in womb and had to be removed. I've not successfully been able to have a baby. It's nice to shine a light on this subject. There is a wonderful dr. In n.y. who helped my cousin and her husband with her endometriosis (she lived in va. And traveled to Nyc care. She's a successful entrepreneur who is a baker but most of all she is a mommy to 2 adorable little children and they are very happy. Not everyone succeeds. My heart can't take anymore losses,.since my last pregnancy over 13 years ago on no birth control God hasn't blessed us with any human children, but last year blessed us with a little 10 pound Yorkepoo, the love of my heart. By running this story on GH it gives people like me a place to share and feel safe. Kristina and Molly told it so well. Also they played so well off each other. I will miss Kristina

I was so excited when Kate joined General Hospital. She is a outstanding actress and l am sorry to see her go.

Kate Mansi is the best Kristina she brought life and newness into the person she protrayed. I hope GH writers will recast Kristina with a person that will continue to take Kristina in this new direction. It would be a real twist if Kristina had a male boyfriend. Although I loved her with Ally. I am glad they did not put her with Michaels girlfriend they are so cute together.

Most of Days current cast is just nonsense anti villian s etc. All recasts, dopplegangers, etc. She should come back as Abigail. Shes pretty frontburner. And they have a hot new Chad! She would he great against Cat!...Too bad its filmed a million months in advance
