‘Your Friends & Neighbors’ Sneak Peek: Coop Tells Off Tori (VIDEO)
What To Know
- Your Friends and Neighbors will see Tori reaping the consequences of her actions.
- Plus, Coop makes an impassioned defense of his ex in this exclusive sneak peek at Friday’s new episode.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in the Cooper household, but that doesn’t mean the tree won’t still tut-tut at the apple when it makes a mistake. Such is, apparently, the case in Your Friends and Neighbors‘ next episode, airing Friday (May 22).
In the above exclusive sneak peek of the episode, titled “I Feel Lost Without Me,” Coop (Jon Hamm) and Mel (Amanda Peet) confront Tori (Isabel Gravitt) alongside an attorney about her recent arrest for driving under the influence.
“Honestly, it would be easier if she was heading to college in the fall,” the woman tells them. “Is her declining Princeton already official?”
“‘Fraid so,” Coop answers, sharing a scowl with Mel.
When Tori then smarts back with, “Jesus Christ,” her mother challenges her to repeat herself, and she declines.
“Look, Tori’s a good kid, who’s never been in any trouble,” the counselor continues. “I will try to push that as far as I can.” And while she promises, it’ll be “OK,” she also warns, “It’s not going to go away with a wink and a handshake, and I think we need to all accept that.”
When Tori then defends herself, noting that she was just moving her car out of someone else’s way, Mel loses it. “You think that’s the crazy part here?… She is not taking any responsibility for her actions here?”
“What about your actions?” Tori says, bitingly. “Were you sober when you decided to throw sh** at your neighbors?”
When Tori then calls Mel, who was also arrested for vandalizing her neighbor’s portable toilet, a “hypocrite,” Coop rises to his ex’s defense.
Check out the impassioned response he gives — and Mel’s response to it — in the above clip!
The description for Friday’s episode tells us, “Mel and Tori face the consequences of their actions. Sam [Olivia Munn] tries to end things with Ashe [James Marsden]. Coop is caught between a rock and a hard place.”
