The messy divorce between ousted CBS News anchor Josh Elliott and his wife, WABC-TV anchor Liz Cho, is ongoing, with the latest reports claiming the former couple had an explosive fight about grapes.

According to Elliott’s court filings, obtained by Page Six on Thursday (April 2), he claimed that Cho once yelled at him for packing grapes in his daughter’s school lunch. Elliott and Cho each have a daughter from a previous relationship.

The filing states that Cho “lash[ed] out” at Elliott “while he was washing grapes for his daughter’s lunch, exclaiming that the grapes were hers and he was not permitted to put them in the child’s lunch.” This argument is said to have taken place “within earshot of the child,” per the filings.

Elliott also accused Cho of “locking doors and shutting off lights on [his] teenage daughter in the evening when it was 14 degrees outside.”

The Good Morning America alum also accused his estranged spouse of “monitoring and listening to [his] private phone calls; Rifling through [his] personal belongings and closet; Leaving the marital residence for extended periods without communication despite the presence of two dogs requiring daily care.”

Elliott (54) initially filed for divorce on June 20, 2025, almost a decade after he and Cho (55) married on July 11, 2015. “The marriage of the parties has broken down irretrievably,” the papers read, noting that Elliott was looking for “an equitable distribution of all property, both real and personal.”

In a cross-complaint filed against Elliott, Cho requested emails, texts, social media messages, and other correspondence between Elliott and “any person, other than the defendant, with whom [Elliott] has or has had a romantic and/or sexual relationship, from July 11, 2015, to the present.”

The former couple met while working for ABC and tied the knot in July 2015. Cho was previously married to Evan Gottlieb from 2008 to 2012, with whom she shares a daughter. Elliott was previously married to Priya Narang, with whom he shares a daughter.

Elliott served as the lead anchor for CBS News’ digital news service CBSN. He was fired from the network after announcing on air that he would be leaving. CBS executives were said to have been caught off guard by Elliott’s on-air announcement, and he was subsequently let go.
