‘9-1-1’ Preview: Who’s in Danger in Final Season 9 Episodes? (VIDEO)

What To Know

  • 9-1-1 is going on hiatus after the April 2 episode.
  • ABC has released a preview teasing the emergencies from the final two episodes of Season 9.

The wait until 9-1-1 returns is going to feel even longer after the preview ABC released for the next episodes.

After the Thursday, April 2, episode, the first responder drama is going on a nearly month-long break. The next new episodes will not air until Thursday, April 30. And when the show returns, it’s for the final two episodes of Season 9.

The promo, which you can watch above, offers a look at one of the usual calls for the 118: a kid stuck on an electrical tower. It looks like Buck’s (Oliver Stark) going to be the one climbing the ladder to get him down. And yes, seeing Buck on a ladder again does remind us of the time he was on one and struck by lighting and died for just over three minutes. But something tells us he’ll be OK this time, given that the rest of the video seems like it will be the big finale emergency and he looks fine then.

Those clips show Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) taking a 9-1-1 call about a boat about to fly off its hitch on a bridge and the accident that ensues. Athena (Angela Bassett) is shown at the scene. The moment that has us the most concerned, however, is when it looks like Buck has to be held back by two of his fellow firefighters. Based on the look on his face, someone he knows and care about could be in danger?!

This doesn’t even take into account the mystery set up at the end of Season 9 Episode 16: Detective Hooks (Josh Stamberg) seems to think that the 118 is going to be a problem for something he has going on. He was suspicious when he and Athena worked a case together in the previous episode, and now, it seems like he wasn’t too keen on the firefighters uncovering a human trafficking operation and wanting to make sure that the right people were brought to justice and the victims helped. Could whatever he’s up to end up playing into an end-of-the-season cliffhanger after these rescues seen in the newest preview?
