The Challenge: All Stars Season 5, subtitled Rivals, ended with a victory for Adam Larson and Steve Meinke, who started the season as constant elimination targets but worked their way back again and again and made it to the bitter end on top on Wednesday’s (April 16) finale. The two decided to split the $250,000 (no cutthroat purse-stealing this time), which meant they had something of a storybook ending after starting out at odds with one another. But that wasn’t even the biggest thing to happen in the finale. Instead, it was the on-air proposal Adam Larson did at the tail end, asking girlfriend Averey Tressler to marry him on-screen and promising he’d be on one knee at home when the episode aired.
