Is ‘SNL’ New This Week?
Saturday Night Live (SNL) is just a few episodes into Season 49. SNL alum Pete Davidson returned to host the show not long after his departure as a cast member for the first episode of the season. The next episode was hosted by Bad Bunny, who also served as the musical guest. Next up was comedian Nate Bargatze, and this past week, Timothée Chalamet returned to host a second time.
This season, full of wacky sketches, has also promoted the Please Don’t Destroy boys to the main intro as they are set to release a new film on Peacock soon. The cast is mostly the same as last season, with James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman moving to repertory players and newcomer Chloe Troast joining featured players.
Is ‘SNL’ new this week?
Yes, there is a new episode on Saturday, November 18. Actor Jason Momoa will host the episode with Tate McRae as the musical guest. This will be the second time hosting for Momoa, just ahead of his Aquaman sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom‘s release. This will be McRae’s SNL debut.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made guest appearances during the premiere episode. In the second episode, Pedro Pascal made an appearance, joining host and performer Bad Bunny in his monologue and during a sketch. Lady Gaga and Mick Jagger also showed up.
In Bargatze’s episode, Christopher Walken and Padma Lakshmi made cameos. Alec Baldwin appeared at the end of the most recent episode hosted by Chalamet.
