‘Magnum P.I.’ and ‘Quantum Leap’ Moved as NBC Tweaks Fall Schedule

It’s good news for fans of Magnum P.I. and Quantum Leap, as the two series are moving up in NBC‘s updated fall schedule.

The network has revealed that the second season of Quantum Leap will now lead off Wednesday nights at 8 pm, beginning on October 4. The sci-fi drama was originally slated to air at 9/8c behind repeats of #OneChicago episodes.

The second half of Magnum P.I.’s fifth and final season is also moving ahead an hour, now airing at 9 pm following Quantum Leap. The #OneChicago encores will close the night out at 10 pm.

NBC’s upcoming fall schedule also includes the Season 24 premiere of The Voice, which will air over two nights on Monday, September 25 and Tuesday, September 26, at 8 pm.

The line-up also features the series premiere of two new crime dramas: The Irrational, airing at 10 pm on September 25, and Found, premiering at 10 pm on Tuesday, October 3.

Last week, it was announced that Amazon’s free streaming service Freevee will be showing the first four seasons of the Magnum P.I. reboot, making it the only place where viewers can watch old episodes. NBC’s streamer Peacock only carries the currently airing fifth season.

Fans are hoping that Freevee will provide a second chance for the Jay Hernandez starring series, which was canceled by NBC back in June. Freevee has previously helped bring back axed series, including the long-running Australian soap opera Neighbours, the American-Filipino crime drama Almost Paradise, and the Jeff Daniels-starring American Rust.
