‘The Resident’ Sneak Peek: Is Conrad Closer to Discovering Cade’s Secret? (VIDEO)
Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Matt Czuchry) is ready to (once again) use his skills as a diagnostician to get to the bottom of a mystery. However, Dr. Kincaid Sullivan (Kaley Ronayne) suggests a different plan of action in TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the March 8 episode of The Resident.
After Conrad discovers that someone is prescribing drugs using his name, he’s ready to go “to the pharmacy that filled these prescriptions,” he tells Cade. “That’s not what you do,” she explains. “You have to go straight to the FBI.”

Conrad, of course, wants to know how she knows that, but in true Cade fashion, she doesn’t share anything that could be remotely personal. She does, however, have the name of an agent and offers to make a call for him. Watch the clip above for more as Conrad tries to get Cade to explain.
When it comes to Cade’s past, which is about to be revealed, “it will tie in very closely to the ongoing big thriller story that we’re gonna tell in the back half of the season,” co-showrunner Andrew Chapman previously told TV Insider. “It’s gonna be about the thing that we always tackle, which is the corruption of the healthcare system by money, and Cade will have been involved in that in a way that will be interesting and different and we’ll definitely learn all about it. But she’s definitely hiding things, and when it comes out what she’s hiding, it’ll be really shocking.”
Also in “In for a Penny,” an overdosed John Doe leads Conrad straight into a much bigger scandal than he expected. Plus, Dr. Devon Pravesh (Manish Dayal) treats his first patient with a revolutionary medical fluid, but that doesn’t go as planned.
