She’s back! Natasha Lyonne‘s quirky, fast-talking New Yorker, Nadia is getting wrapped up in a new adventure for the second season of Netflix‘s Russian Doll and the streamer is giving viewers their first glimpse at the action.

In a newly-unveiled date announcement video, Netflix reveals that the series will officially return on Wednesday, April 20. It’s been over three years since fans last spent time with Lyonne’s charismatic character who was introduced in early 2019 with Season 1.

The teaser, below, offers brief glimpses of Nadia as she enters another trippy phase and takes a hands-off approach to it all. “When the universe f**ks with you, let it,” she says bluntly, to an individual that viewers have yet to meet.

After managing to escape a time loop, Nadia and Alan (Charlie Barnett) are taking on life four years after the events of Season 1. The latest chapter will continue to explore existential thematic through a mostly humorous and sci-fi lens. Together, they discover that there’s a fate even worse than endless death as Nadia and Alan dive deeper into their pasts through an unexpected time portal.

The point of time portal entry? It happens to be in one of Manhattan’s most notorious locations, which remains to be uncovered until Season 2 arrives. Initially, Nadia and Alan experience this as an ever-expanding, era-spanning, intergenerational adventure, but they soon learn that this event might be more than they bargained for. Can they find a way out? Viewers will have to tune in to find out.

Joining Lyonne and Barnett for Season 2 include Greta Lee, Annie Murphy, and Sharlto Copley. And based on the teaser, below, it appears that Chloë Sevigny, who played Nadia’s mother Lenora in Season 1, will be back as well.

Season 2 is executive produced by Lyonne who serves as showrunner, Alex Buono, Amy Poehler, Leslye Headland, Lilly Burns, Tony Hernandez, Dave Becky, Kate Arend, Regina Corrado, and Allison Silverman. Catch the date announcement teaser, below, and stay tuned for more Season 2 updates on Russian Doll as the April premiere date nears.
