‘The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder’ Trailer Brings Cosmo & Wanda Back to Dimmsdale (VIDEO)
Wands and wings, floaty crowny things! Cosmo and Wanda are back, and this time in a fairly odd format. Paramount+ shared the first trailer for its Fairly OddParents spinoff, The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder, on Feb. 23. The new original series combines live-action and animation, and The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder trailer promises lots of magical shenanigans in Dimmsdale.
The series takes place years after Timmy Turner’s last turn in the Nickelodeon original series. An adult Timmy (clad in a pink Princeton shirt and matching pink hat) asks Cosmo and Wanda to take his 13-year-old cousin, Vivian “Viv” Turner, under their wings while she adjusts to life in Dimmsdale. Her new stepbrother, Roy Raskin, witnesses the magical moment and becomes their second fairy godchild. Viv and Roy’s families were brought together when their parents, high school sweethearts Ty Turner and Rachel Raskin, got married.
The Fairly OddParents original cast members Daran Norris and Susanne Blakeslee return to voice Cosmo and Wanda. While Timmy appears in live-action form, familiar animated faces such as Jorgen Von Strangle make magical appearances. Audrey Grace Marshall, Tyler Wladis, Ryan-James Hatanaka, Laura Bell Bundy, and Imogen Cohen round out the cast.
All 13 episodes of The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder Season 1 premiere Thursday, March 31 on Paramount+.
The series is produced by Nickelodeon Productions. Christopher J. Nowak (Danger Force, Henry Danger, Sam & Cat) serves as showrunner and executive producer.
