Roar is described as an insightful, poignant, and occasionally hilarious portrait of what it means to be a woman in today’s world. The show utilizes a blend of magic realism and applies it to familiar domestic and professional scenarios as well as futuristic worlds. The eight stories mirror dilemmas that ordinary women face in surprising ways.

How they’ll emerge from their individual journeys reflects the resiliency that exists within these characters and with all women. Helping bring the stories to life with Kidman, Erivo, Gilpin, and Wever are fellow stars Issa Rae, Alison Brie, Meera Syal, Fivel Stewart, and Kara Hayward.
