Meet Blake Carver: All About ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 11’s Yacht Captain
“Is summer in Europe such a tough sell?” For anyone who’s settled in Boston — or Connecticut, in some cases — leaving New England may be just that.
During Season 11 of Love Is Blind, viewers have met Blake Carver, a Bostonian yacht captain whose unorthodox career caught the attention of multiple ladies in the pods — for better and for worse. Connecting with both Benita Paloja and Erika Ellis, he left the pods engaged and hoping that his perfect match would want to travel the world with him. Could she commit to the uncertainty?
Scroll to find out all about Blake Carver, his boating career, relationship status today, and more.
Who is Love Is Blind‘s Blake Carver?
Blake Carver is a 38-year-old yacht captain who is “looking for a connection that’s as ‘deep’ as the Atlantic Ocean — which he’s sailed across twice.” Or at least, that’s what Netflix teased about the bearded yachtie ahead of the season. Heading into the pods, Blake explained, “The most important thing is that they have good banter, and that we [know we] can sit on the couch and not get bored of each other when we’re 65.”

What is Blake’s job?
Okay, we’ve heard all about Blake’s yacht life, but what does his career really entail? Blake is a captain at Sailing Collective, a private yacht charter company that hosts voyages “led by a team of dynamic captains and culinary artists” all around the world.

His bio on the website reads: “Blake grew up in Boston, but taught himself to sail on the lakes of Wisconsin on the family sunfish. Bit by the sailing bug, he transitioned to big boats, racing j-120’s in California for seven years. Blake began his career on Wall Street and started the world’s first carbon neutral distillery in California, but couldn’t resist the call of the sea and decided to sail full time. He has since ran charters in Croatia, Greece, Italy, and the Caribbean. In his free time, Blake fills his time with anything outdoorsy. He’s an avid skier, surfer, and hiker.”
Who did Blake date in the pods?
Heading into the pods, Netflix revealed, “Blake knows he’s single because his lifestyle makes dating difficult… But he’s not willing to give up adventuring entirely.” Almost immediately, Blake connected with both Benita and Erika. While Benita was more closely aligned with his adventurous spirit, being from Eastern Europe herself, he and Erika had some uncanny connections, including their stints in California, where they were both involved with distilleries.
Ultimately, he decided to propose to Erika, which makes sense, as he previously stated, his future wife “doesn’t have to know how to sail — I can teach her — but she should probably know how to swim.”

While Erika checks all his boxes, both he and his future first mate have started to realize that her homebody nature and his travel bug may not be the most compatible. He would feel trapped in her Connecticut home, and she would feel untethered at sea. Will these opposites be able to make it work?
