Maurice Benard have officially welcomed a new family member. On October 16, the General Hospital star’s daughter, Cassidy Benard, married her now-husband, Anthony Cammarata, with Benard officiating the ceremony.
Benard shared an inside look at his daughter’s wedding, including the moment Cassidy walked down the aisle and said “I do.” The Daytime Emmy winner was the ultimate proud dad as he stood at the altar and witnessed this emotional moment.
“My baby girl is married to her Prince charming. My speech may have not been perfect, but it was from the heart,” Benard captioned his Instagram video set to “The Book of Love” by Peter Gabriel. “It was truly a beautiful day. There’s nothing I would’ve done differently. You can always feel weddings with love in the room. I’ve been to many the heart doesn’t lie. They have definitely found their soulmate and in this life that means the world.”

The video, edited by Benard’s former GH costar Marcus Coloma, included an adorable moment between Benard and his daughter. Just as he was about to finish the pronouncement, “I now pronounce you man and wife,” Cassidy cut in to make a note to her father. Benard told her, “No, that’s after, baby.” He then quipped, “She wants to kiss him really bad, I guess.”
After that, Benard officially pronounced the newlyweds husband and wife. The couple shared a romantic kiss at the altar. Cassidy looked stunning in her wedding gown, complete with a tiara and veil. Anthony wore a green suit. Benard’s wife, Paula, and the flower girls wore purple dresses for the ceremony.
Cassidy and Anthony’s wedding comes just over a year after he popped the question in April 2024. He proposed during a trip to Japan and surprised at Disneyland. “It truly is a fairytale,” Benard wrote at the time.
