Benita was born in Kosovo, a small landlocked country in the Balkans near Serbia and Albania. Ahead of the season, Benita has revealed that she immigrated from Kosovo to the United States in 1999 when she was roughly five years old. She explained, “We’re war refugees, and came here with nothing.”
