There is much to celebrate in the Wright household these days! On October 20, General Hospital star Laura Wright revealed an exciting update that has her beyond “thrilled.”
Wright shared a photo of her son, John (“LJ”), and his girlfriend, Emily. “My favorite son is getting hitched and we are thrilled!!! We love you both so so much !!!” she wrote on Instagram. Emily showed off her engagement ring in the sweet photo.
On his personal Instagram page, LJ posted a photo of Emily drinking a beer with her ring in full view. “Fiancée,” he captioned the post. Wright commented, “Woooooo hooooooooo” and later added, “Oh, I’m so so happy and proud of you both. Let the fun begin.”
Wright’s longtime boyfriend, Wes Ramsey, also showed his support. “CONGRATULATIONS,” he wrote.
Wright and Ramsey recently spent time with LJ and Emily in Colorado. “Such a fun jam packed weekend in Aspen – we saw old friends and met new ones – so grateful!!! Thank you Emily & LJ !!!!” Wright captioned a carousel of photos.

LJ is Wright’s youngest child and only son with ex-husband, John Wright. The soap star also has an older daughter, Lauren, with whom she shares a love of reading.
Just a handful of weeks before LJ and Emily’s engagement, the Daytime Emmy winner celebrated Ramsey’s birthday. “This kind, generous handsome man was born today and I couldn’t be more grateful. Happy birthday Wes Ramsey I adore you,” she wrote to her love.
Since the beginning of 2026, Wright and Ramsey have taken a number of getaways together. From the Pacific Northwest to Lake Tahoe to Paris, the couple has traveled all over together. In August, she made to let all of the GH fans know that she was heading back to Port Charles.
