Fady Elsayed is a British actor who broke out in 2016 when he was cast in the "Doctor Who" (BBC, 1963-89; 2005- ) spinoff series "Class." Elsayed was born in the Paddington area of London to Egyptian parents. As a young boy he found that he had a knack for entertaining people, and before long decided to become a professional actor. After graduating from high school he enrolled in drama school but quickly came to the realization that on-the-job training was his best avenue for learning the craft of acting. With that mindset firmly implanted, Elsayed began going on film and TV auditions. Luckily for Elsayed, his very first screen role was the lead in the 2012 drama "My Brother the Devil." The film drew wide critical praise, and won various independent film awards. Shortly after the success of "My Brother the Devil" the film and television roles began pouring in.

In 2013 Elsayed appeared in the thriller "Sixteen," which was also nominated for various independent film awards. In 2014 Elsayed nabbed various British television parts on shows like "Casualty" (BBC, 1986- ), "Silent Witness" (BBC, 1996- ), and "Penny Dreadful" (Showtime, 2014-16). Elsayed continued nabbing mostly TV parts in 2015, while also appearing in a short film called "Shakespeare on Love." Then in 2016 it was announced that Elsayed had joined the class of the "Doctor Who" spinoff "Class." The show took place in the famed Coal High School, which had been a part of "Doctor Who" since the show's very first airing way back in 1963. Elsayed played one of several high school students on the spinoff series.
