Ethan Zohn is an American reality TV personality, former professional soccer player, and philanthropist best known for winning "Survivor: Africa," the third season of the long-running CBS reality competition. Born on November 12, 1973, in Lexington, Massachusetts, Zohn was praised for his likability, integrity, and strategic gameplay during his time on Survivor. He later returned to compete on "Survivor: All-Stars" and "Survivor: Winners at War."
Before reality TV, Zohn played professional soccer, including stints with the Hawaii Tsunami and Cape Cod Crusaders. Following his Survivor win, he co-founded the charity Grassroot Soccer, which uses soccer to educate youth in developing countries about HIV and AIDS prevention. Zohn is also a cancer survivor, having publicly battled Hodgkin’s lymphoma multiple times.
