In 1994, Cazzie David was born into a showbiz family. Her father, Larry David, created "Seinfeld" (NBC, 1989-1998) and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" (HBO, 2000-), and her mother was a comedy producer and manager before focusing on environmental issues and producing the Academy Award-winning documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" (2006). Her first onscreen appearance came on a 2007 episode of "Hannah Montana" (Disney Channel, 2006-2011), along with her father and younger sister. It would prove to be her only won screen until she finished college. David graduated from Emerson University in 2016 and quickly began production on the millennial comedy "Eighty-Sixed," a series of eight short episodes, most under eight minutes, which she released on YouTube. Much like her father, she acted, wrote and produced the series. In 2018, it was announced that David landed a book deal with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for her collection of essays titled No One Asked for This. Her age, gender, and voice frequently earned comparisons to Lena Dunham, creator/star of "Girls" (HBO, 2012-17), and in 2019 Amazon announced that it would produce a pilot for the series "Half-Empty," created by and starring David.
