The “Turn Down For What” rapper clearly has a way with the microphone and he’s no stranger to reality TV, having been a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice. Lil Jon would surely bring a certain flair to his performances and it would be great to see him branch out and do a ballad for a change.
Amy Schumer
Sure, Amy Schumer may not strike most as a singer, but this comedienne showcased her many capabilities throughout the run of her Comedy Central series Inside Amy Schumer. Plus, if anyone saw her in Trainwreck, they’d know she has a few dance moves under her belt as well.
Zendaya
The former Disney Channel darling has become a full-blown star in the years after her stellar run on Dancing with the Stars, but that doesn’t mean she can’t try her hand at a new competition. Zendaya‘s vocal skills were showcased best in her Greatest Showman role, so perhaps its time to use them again?
Nick Carter
Similar to Season 1’s Joey Fatone, this boy bander has more than just a good voice — Carter has a stage presence. After years of performing with The Backstreet Boys his dance moves could bring weekly entertainment to a whole new level.
Rosie O’Donnell
This comedienne has never been short on pizzazz in even the most banal of settings. And after her recent role on Showtime’s SMILF, there’s no time like the present for O’Donnell to show off her singing chops… again. For those who may have forgotten, she’s used her voice in the past, most notably for Disney’s animated film Tarzan in 1999.
Jaleel White
“Did we do that?” Yes, we did. As a former child star who has continued to work in the industry, the former Steve Urkel of Family Matters seems like he’d add something special to the competition show. Jaleel White has also featured in Dancing with the Stars in the past putting him in a prime position for knowing how to approach a televised competition like The Masked Singer.
John McEnroe
People may know him as the famously temperamental tennis player, but John McEnroe has been showing off his musical talent for some time now. As a singer and guitarist, the former athlete turned TV personality could be a pleasantly surprising addition to The Masked Singer‘s Season 2 cast.
Tamera and Tia Mowry
It’s hard to imagine one without the other, but the Mowry twins have come a long way since their Sister, Sister days. Perhaps the show could make an exception for duet competitors? And anyone doubting their singing chops should refer back to their time on the beloved ’90s comedy.
Kyrie Irving
The Boston Celtics player may know his way around the basketball court, but he’s also pretty good when it comes to vocals. Irving’s talents make him a perfect candidate as a competitor as seen in some videos taken by the athlete.
Fox’s The Masked Singer may have crowned its first winner, but it’s never too early to start thinking about next season’s possible contenders.
