Deeks’ Training to Become an Agent Doesn’t Go So Well on ‘NCIS: LA’ (PHOTOS)
No one ever said FLETC was going to be easy.
Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) may have gotten the ball rolling on Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) becoming an NCIS agent—his liaison position was terminated permanently and he was furloughed by the LAPD—but now it’s up to him to put in the work on NCIS: Los Angeles. As the photos and promo for the January 10 episode, “Love Kills,” show, Deeks is going to be struggling during training at the academy.

Elsewhere in the episode, everyone’s favorite man named Vostanik (and the only one on TV?) is back. Yes, Erik Palladino returns as CIA Officer Sabatino, who needs the team’s help finding Pietra Rey (Mariela Garriga). She first appeared in the Season 9 episode “Forasteira,” and she’s just as dangerous as ever in the promo below.
As for what brings everyone together, the investigation revolves around the murder of a man who was going to expose the source of a massive counterfeiting operation—and it sounds like Pietra is the “old acquaintance [who] becomes their prime suspect” mentioned in the logline. But what’s she really doing back? We’ll have to wait to find out.
