‘Loki’: Every Season 2 Photo Released So Far
It’s been more than two years since fans last tuned into a new episode of Disney+‘s hit Marvel series Loki, but the wait is nearly over as Season 2’s October 6 premiere date looms on the horizon.
In the meantime, Disney has unveiled several new images for the upcoming season featuring stars Tom Hiddleston as the God of Mischief himself, Sophia Di Martino as variant Sylvie, Owen Wilson as TVA worker Mobius, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer, and new addition Ke Huy Quan whose character name has yet to be revealed.
As viewers will recall, the world as Loki knew it was flipped inside out as he was taken to the TVA, (short for Time Variance Authority). After sneaking away with a tesseract, he was captured and imprisoned at the TVA for infringing upon the “sacred timeline,” and in an effort to better understand it all, he teams up with Mobius to seek out a fugitive he soon discovers is a variant of himself, Sylvie.
The resulting shenanigans saw her seeking out vengeance against the entity in charge, who they ultimately learn is He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors). Threatening the dangers of messing with the sacred timeline, He Who Remains tries cutting a deal with Loki and Sylvie, but she won’t relent. Season 1 concluded with her pushing Loki back into the TVA and stabbing He Who Remains, causing the sacred timeline to deviate and branch off.
When Loki wanders the halls of the TVA, it has been transformed, showcasing the influence of Kang, one of He Who Remains’ variants, and Mobius has no memory of the God of Mischief.
