Why They’ll Win: The Force is strong with these dancers, who pull off high-energy hip-hop routines in Star Wars Stormtrooper costumes. Plus, the obsessed Cowell calls them “one of my favorite acts ever!”
Why They Won’t: The other judges and the general public don’t get his enthusiasm. And Cowell has already bet on Boogie Storm — his 2016 Golden Buzzer pick on Britain’s Got Talent — and lost. (They placed third.)
Angelina Jordan (Heidi Klum’s Pick)
Why She’ll Win: She instantly surprised U.S. viewers with her soulful take on Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” but that unique voice has been attracting followers since her 2014 Norway’s Got Talent win at age 7.
Why She Won’t: Although Jordan could follow the same trajectory as young singers Bianca Ryan and Grace VanderWaal, AGT victors at 11 and 12, respectively, the teen may no longer be seen as a wunderkind.
The Silhouettes (Alesha Dixon’s Pick)
Why They’ll Win: It’s the perfect redemption story. In 2011, the shadow dance ensemble lost out to jazz singer Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. Now their emotional tales set to music tug at our hearts even more.
Why They Won’t: Once-unique shadow acts are now somewhat of a regular occurrence on the reality competition. It’ll be twice the challenge for them to prove themselves worthy to the superfans.
V.Unbeatable (Howie Mandel’s Pick)
Why They’ll Win: It’s in the name! The massive dance group will be hard to beat. It’s also difficult not to be inspired by their incredible journey from the slums of Mumbai to a Las Vegas stage.
Why They Won’t: Their fourth-place finish in Season 14 this past September may be a bit too fresh in superfans’ minds. And has there been enough time for their acrobatics to reach the next level?
