CBS Sets 2020-2021 Season Finale Dates: 2-Hour ‘Blue Bloods,’ ‘Mom’ Farewell and More
It may seem like the 2020-2021 broadcast season just started — some premieres did come later than usual due to the effect of the coronavirus pandemic on production — but with fewer episodes, most shows are ending around the same time they usually would, at least for CBS.
The network has set the finale (some season, two series) dates for its primetime comedies, dramas, and unscripted shows. That includes the farewells for the eight-season Mom (Thursday, May 13) and seven-season NCIS: New Orleans (Sunday, May 23).
Blue Bloods is getting a two-hour season finale on May 14, with the other Friday night shows ending their current seasons in the weeks before it.
The finales start airing in April, with Tough as Nails on the 14th and MacGyver on the 30th. The Tuesday night lineup — NCIS, FBI, and FBI: Most Wanted — will be the last ones to air the last episodes of the 2020-2021 season on May 25.

I think CBS are idiots for ending NCIS New Orleans and Mom. By all means let’s add more reality crap. I watch TV to escape reality. I am sick of all these “scripted” reality shows. They’re so phony.

Mom is hilarious and I can't believe it is being taken off. Loved Christie but good cast all round regardless of her leaving. No incentive to watch the channel anymore after they decided to pull the plug on so many good shows and replace some with more nauseating "reality" shows.

I'd like to know who looks at a successful show with realistic and still funny storylines, great writers....etc., and make a foolish decision to cancel. Why????
I hope another channel will be smart enough to pick it up.

Too many main characters are leaving. That's one show that I think would have collapse if they just got different actresses. Either the Mom or the daughter were leaving after this season ends. Maybe both.

I think CBS will truly suck. May as well throw out my TV. The shows I've grown to love and stay up late to watch will be no more. Thank God for PBS. I'm over the air antenna in Santa Fe NM and I will never pay for cable.

I’ve gotten to where I try not to get attached to shows on CBS. Every time There’s one I really like they cancel it. I agree Mom has been really good the last couple of seasons.. 🤥

I totally agree. You have to realize we are ADULTS and this is our way of relaxing enjoying the Big Easy. CBS BIG BIG MISTAKE. WE NEED NCIS NOLA. Tuesday is my favorite night. NCIS, FBI and FBI MOST WANTED. Please reconsider. I an an advent person for justice.

I’ve always enjoyed blueblood we look forward to it the end of the week. Mom I’ve never watched. I’m not that interested in silly. Reality shows very seldom do I watch them. ABC, NBC, CBS need to find a new format.

I thought mom was just as funny even with daughter gone. I for one am tired of the canceling of great tv shows. This is why I don't watch alot of new ones that come out, because you get hooked on them and then they get canceled! I find myself watching more series on Netflix lately.

NCIS NOLA AND MOM are two of the best shows on TV.... Why not just move both of them to a night when there's nothing but crap on TV.... And there's a few of them. Mom is the only sitcom on TV worth watching, there rest are not funny, just stupid. And NCIS NOLA is just as much of a quality cast and stories.. Scott Bakula is as good an actor as Mark Harmon..... Get you're heads out of the sand people..... Keep the good shows that work..... Stop replacing them with losers.

I join the other person. Glad Blue Bloods is not cancelled. Just Season Finale. It was a strange season. Gave it set to record new shows. Wasn't a new show every Friday. But I love the show. There's so much junk on TV now. It's good to have a good show on and returning in the future.

Nothing like canceling the good shows to replace with garbage to turn your viewers away from your station.
The world already has enough brain numbing reality shows. Congrats on becoming just another station to autoskip. With decisions like these it's no wonder folk are moving to streaming and leaving cable tv stations behind.

I can't believe that they are canceling Mom! Only show on TV period that I watch faithfully. Everything else are some kind of cop or dr,er or something to that manner. Very boring and gross to me. I saw enough of that stuff with family doing it. But as always when they get a hit they cancel it! Mike and Molly, Two broke girls, The Big Bang Theory its a shame!

It sucks they end all the good shows as soon as you really start getting into them. Like Mom and Mike & Molly and NCIS: New Orleans the list just keeps going. Stop ending the good show’s and get rid of some of those dumb Reality Show’s. And a lot of them should’ve been off tv but you keep that going for what reasons.

Over the years I have come to enjoy the CBS series but starting with Gayle king taking over the morning show and now the cancellation of some the better written and entertaining shows I may even have to resort to a third rate network like Fox☹️

I'm sad that they are cancelling Mom. The only thing for me on CBS now is Blue Bloods. Sick and tired of the reality shows. I know many people like them but I enjoy comedies and series.

I think CBS is making a big mistake in cancelling NCIS NEW ORLEANS. Of the three shows, NCIS LOS ANGLES would be the one to cut. I love all three but with Hettie not on regularly the show has lost a little of its sparkle. New Orleans is such a fascinating city and there is always action. Now that Scott’s wife is on there, it’s been fun. I will miss it...a lot. Maybe by some miracle CBS will re-think their decision and give us another season.

I am so happy they didn't cancel Blue Bloods. It's Really a good show. It is fun to follow the Irish Reagan family, a lot of things are familiar to my own family. And, it has great values and positive morals.

No they didn't. Blue Bloods hasn't been canceled. It has a 2 hour SEASON FINALE not SERIES FINALE. Only MOM and NCIS:NOLA is ending. CBS hasn't 'canceled' (ended) anything else as of late.

Criminal minds is a show that not only let's us finger out the unsub with them but the glue for them is baby girl. She and all of them show their love for each other after the case is done in shares her family and Reed loves his mom and loves j j Morgan is hunk that kicks down door then rebuilds houses
And loves his wife and son so why are CBS stopping the best crime show I have ever seen book bloods is my 3rd best show love it don't let virus stop these 3 shows keep them going we can rebuild them just like we are
