They say every dog has its day, but Talking Hank, the goofy CGI canine star of YouTube hit Talking Tom and Friends: The Animated Series, only gets his once every four years. That’s right, the verbose pooch at the center of this super silly serial about a crew of creatures shooting their own reality show is celebrating his birthday today. And just like a lot of folks in Hollywood, there are a few questions about Hank’s real age.

“In dog years or human years?” jokes SpongeBob SquarePants star Tom Kenny, who voices Hank. “That’s a hard one, especially since Hank was also born on [Leap Day]. Unfortunately, most actors aren’t good at math, and I’m one of ‘em!”

Whatever his age, it’s far from a ruff life for the big-hearted, bumbling Hank. The Talking Tom apps and games have scored over three billion downloads and his behind-the-camera adventures—which also feature the voices of Colin Hanks (Life in Pieces), James Adomian (Gravity Falls) and Maria Bamford (WordGirl)—have just as many hits on YouTube.

New episodes arrive on Sunday, March 13, so until then, here’s a countdown of Hank’s top moments to keep the kids giggling.
