Replay! The deaths of Eleanor (Kristen Bell), Tahani (Jameela Jamil), Chidi (William Jackson Harper) and Jason (Manny Jacinto) are now near-deaths on NBC’s The Good Place, and their time in the afterlife has been erased.

Can they become good people and earn a spot in the real Good Place without one another? “Together they succeed, alone they’re doomed,” creator Michael Schur says. Well, fork.

FINDING THEIR WAY

Phoenix native Eleanor located Chidi in Australia in the comedy’s finale, so there is some hope for the gang’s survival. But what of socialite Tahani and aspiring DJ Jason? “Their journeys, in toto, are very ‘on brand’ for each of them,” Schur says. Court order Season 3 opens with Judge Gen (Maya Rudolph) back in charge.

“We go to the moment she ruled that the humans could go back to Earth,” Schur says. “We see things from Michael’s [Ted Danson] point of view,” including how the Bad Place architect got down to Earth and what he and sidekick Janet (D’Arcy Carden) have been up to.

NEW FACES

After cheating death, Chidi seeks answers from neuroscientist Simone (Kirby Howell-Baptiste). And the Doorman (Mike O’Malley) sits between Michael — anxiously watching the quartet — and his chance to intervene.
