ABC’s Single Parents is recruiting former New Girl star Hannah Simone for a guest role arc on the upcoming comedy.

Joining stars Taran Killam, Leighton Meester, and Brad Garrett among others. The role will serve as a New Girl reunion between Simone and Single Parents‘s co-creators Liz Meriwehter and J.J. Philbin who served as creator and executive producer on the former Fox series revealed The Hollywood Reporter.

Simone will appear in two episodes of the new series as pediatrician, Dr. Monique Dewan. The character will serve as a love interest for Killam’s character Will Cooper who is attempting dating after his recent divorce.

This will be Simone’s first role post-New Girl, the Fox comedy wrapped earlier this year after seven seasons. The actress most recently filmed the pilot for The Greatest American Hero reboot, but it wasn’t picked up by anyone.

Simone’s stint in Single Parents will occur during the sixth and seventh episodes. The series tells the story of a group of single parents helping each other along the way through life’s turbulent and often funny moments.

Considering Simone’s background in comedy Single Parents would seem to be a perfect fit for her. Don’t miss the actress when Single Parents airs this fall on ABC.
