Mark Consuelos’ Lookalike Son to Play Young Hiram on ‘Riverdale’
Like father, like son!
Riverdale‘s flashback episode has found its teen Hiram Lodge and they didn’t even have to look that far.
TV Insider can reveal exclusively that Mark Consuelos’s son, Michael, has been signed to play the high-school version of his dad’s baddie Hiram Lodge in the upcoming season’s fourth episode.
Entitled “The Midnight Club,” the hour will be subversive take on the John Hughes classic The Breakfast Club, revealed showrunner Roberto Aguire-Saccasa last week during the Television Critics Association 2018 summer press tour in Beverly Hills.
“We are going to learn about a really, really dark secret in Riverdale that the parents have been keeping since they were in high school,” he said.
The show’s younger cast will be playing their on-screen parents in the episode, but some questions remained as to whom would fill in for Hiram and Hal Cooper, as neither of them have sons on the canvas… that we know of.
Teen Hiram (who we can only hope was a bit nicer back in the day) is the first acting gig for Michael Consuelos, currently a junior at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
