Fox Reveals 'Last Man Standing' Recasting — Meet the New Mandy & Boyd!
Last Man Standing's Fox revival has found its new Mandy and Boyd!
On Monday, the network announced that it has recast the roles originated by Molly Ephraim and Flynn Morrison. Molly McCook will star as Mandy, the second eldest daughter of Tim Allen's Mike Baxter, and Jet Jurgensmeyer will play her nephew — Kristin's son — Boyd.
These actors are no strangers to TV, as both of them have extensive credits to their names. McCook can be seen in the upcoming Fosters spinoff Good Trouble in the recurring role of Rebecca. She's also appeared on shows like The Ranch, Glee, Modern Family, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and much more.
The Tim Allen-led show is reassembling many of its stars for its return on Fox.
While it will be odd for fans to adjust to new actors in these well-known roles, it isn't the first time that Last Man Standing has replaced one of its core characters. In 2012 during the show's original run, Amanda Fuller replaced actress Alexandra Krosney as Kristin Baxter after a time-jump. Similarly, Flynn Morrison replaced young twins as the older version of Boyd.
These new additions will round out the Baxter family, so we're one step closer to the show's return!
