'Grey's Anatomy' Star Chandra Wilson Checks Into 'General Hospital'
The self-proclaimed soap devotee has appeared on the show before, but this time it’s a totally different role.
Plus, she shared her thoughts on 'Devious Maids' abrupt cancellation.
Back in early 2014, Wilson played Tina Estrada, a patient of Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom). This time, it’s Wilson who’s doling out advice as Dr. Francine Massey, a marriage and family therapist hired to counsel Aunt Stella (Emmy Award winner Vernee Watson), Jordan (Vinessa Antoine), and Curtis (Donnell Turner).
And given Stella’s feelings towards Jordan it’s safe to say that Dr. Massey has quite the task in front of her!
An air date for Wilson’s GH appearance wasn’t available at press time, but as soaps shoot on the average from two to six weeks in advance viewers can likely expect to see Wilson pop up in Port Charles before the end of the month.
The Emmy winner is bringing Laura Vining Webber Baldwin Spencer Baldwin Collins back to Port Charles.
One thing’s for sure: Wilson didn’t have to travel far from her regular gig on Grey’s to get to the GH soundstage. Both hospital-based series shoot on the same lot in Hollywood.
